1:1 business sparring
Somewhere confidential to think out loud, and to get pushback
I combine coaching with experience from international leadership, commercial accountability and life as an independent. The aim isn’t only to help you see something new. It’s to push back hard enough that the decisions get clearer and something actually happens.

When it rests on you
Some decisions need saying out loud, and not to just anyone
This is for you when generic advice isn’t what’s missing. What’s missing is somewhere confidential, with experience behind it, honest enough to be useful, and an eye on both the business and you in the role.
01
The business has to grow on very little
Time, money and energy are all tight, and you need to work out where the effort will actually move something commercially.
02
An important choice has to become action
You can see several ways forward, or you’ve been turning it over long enough. Time to get the assumptions out, sharpen the priorities and pick the next step.
03
You’re carrying the leadership on your own
You have people to talk to, but nowhere you can be completely honest without also protecting the organisation or the relationship.
How I do it
Not coaching for the sake of coaching
I move deliberately between four modes. Which one dominates depends on the day, but the decision stays yours throughout.
01
Reflection
Sharp questions open up what you already need to see more clearly.
02
Observation
I tell you the pattern I’m seeing, including when it’s awkward.
03
Mentoring
When experience is worth more than another question, I just tell you what I think.
04
Action
We finish on a decision, an experiment or a concrete next step.

The mix shifts as the conversation goes on. Who owns the decision doesn’t.
Ways we can do it
It follows your situation, not a standard package
We pick the format from what you’re actually dealing with. It should make a difference outside the room too: in what you prioritise, what you choose, and how you run the business or the job from there.
Clarity · one session
A single conversation
When there’s a specific choice in front of you, or the situation needs cutting down to its real shape.
Focus · agreed period
A set number of sessions
When a decision, a role or a commercial problem needs following closely from first insight through to action.
Ongoing
A standing sparring partner
When you want somewhere confidential that stays with you and the business as the decisions and priorities keep changing.
Experience & ethics
Someone to bounce it off
I bring international leadership, commercial accountability, technology and self-employment into the room with me. I’m an EMCC-certified coach, and everything said stays between us. That isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s the condition.

An initial conversation
Shall we take a look at it?
A short conversation about the situation, what you want to shift, and whether I’m the right person to do it with.
